Grost

Grost — Your sound, and a ghost of it.

Plug anything into the Organelle and play. Grost is always listening to the last six seconds, so the moment you let the ghost loose it's already there: a piece of what you just played, repeating, jumping back to something from a moment ago, dropping an octave, running backwards, warbling like it's been left out in the sun. Your sound carries on underneath it, untouched.

K1 Loop · how long a piece the ghost repeats: a 40 ms stutter up to two-second phrases

K2 Chaos · how often it jumps somewhere else in the last few seconds, and how far back it reaches. At 0 it just loops.

K3 Unstable · how often it changes pitch (octaves, fifths) or runs backwards

K4 Mix · only your sound, both at full, or only the ghost. All the way up, AUX turns your sound into the ghost.

AUX · latch the ghost loose. Press again to let it go: it fades into its own reverb and your sound comes back.

Keys · hold a key and the ghost plays at that pitch (C4 is as it was). With the ghost loose, the keys re-pitch it.

With nothing coming in, Grost is completely silent — no hiss, no hum — so it's clean enough to record straight into a mix.

You need an Organelle and something plugged into its input. No wifi, nothing to set up.
