Loom
A downloadable Instrument
Loom is built for density. Eight voices means chords and clusters can actually overlap and interlace rather than stepping on each other — closer to a woven texture than a single melodic line.
The reverb is the real engine here: two delay lines set at deliberately mismatched left and right read times, so the tail spreads wide and asymmetric instead of collapsing to the center. Decay and Reverb shape how long that tail lingers and how thick it gets; Pitch and Dark shape the character underneath it, from bright and present to submerged and distant.
Speaking of submerged — Loom's AUX has more than one state. Press through and the patch settles into a darker, deeper mode, distinct from its normal voice. Worth exploring both.
Part of the Shoreline Suite for Organelle M, alongside AfterImage and Vigil. Four knobs — Decay, Pitch, Reverb, Dark — tuned to work as one instrument, not four separate controls fighting each other.
