Silt

Silt is a patch for Organelle M. Six voices that arrive slowly and sit low, running into a reverb and out through a saturator. Play one note and it's a drone. Play a chord and something else happens. The output saturates rather than clips. Stack notes and the level stops climbing — each one still gets through, but the whole thing compresses into itself and takes on a blown-out, pushed quality. A compressor after it rides the level back up in the gaps, so what you hear is the sound sinking under its own weight and swelling back. That pumping is the point.

AUX is a long swell. Two windowed heads drift through a buffer of what you've been playing, fading in over three and a half seconds and taking fifteen to recede. It sits underneath rather than on top.

The whole patch is built around slow. Attacks are long, the reverb is short, and the AUX release is four times its rise. Nothing here rewards playing quickly.
